Join us for our biennial Melanoma Update. This year’s Melanoma Update will hear from expert speakers on various aspects of Melanoma diagnosis and treatment. The seminar will be interactive, with a panel Q&A and example cases.

Presentations include:

  • WAKMAS, what are we? Where did we come from? What do we do?
  • The suspicious skin lesion
  • How do I refer a patient to WAKMAS? What resources are available for patients who do not need MDT review?
  • Recent advances in adjuvant treatment of lymph node metastases (stage 3 melanoma)
  • Algorithm for surgical management of Primary Melanoma- Ideal management of thin, intermediate and thick invasive lesions
  • Future possibilities to aid in melanoma diagnosis and treatment
  • Suboptimal diagnosis and treatment pathways – Does it really matter?

  2. Correctly diagnose melanomas during patient consultations
  3. Summarise the biopsy techniques used to diagnose melanomas
  4. Summarise future possibilities to aid the diagnosis and treatment of melanoma
  5. Appreciate new developments in adjuvant therapies for melanoma
